A Date with the Moon

Last weekend, I went dating...with the moon! Our church small group gathered at Uncle Gary's house before going around with our real fire-lighted up lanterns! Finally get to play with fire! Hee!

I also brought along a safe one (operated by battery with flashing LWD lights) that was given by Kim Nin when I was back in Sitiawan earlier. Apparently this is part of the chinese culture mid-autumn festival where people play with lanterns and stuff themselves with mooncakes. I would think it's also a wonderful time to celebrate moon-collecting business. I am at 19.5 at present. Anyway...

Here are some pics of my first lantern walkabout. Sure was fun!!

Lighting the lanterns!

Koko Abel and Jiejie Tammy getting ready...

At the park with Jiejies Nicole and Caryn...the exercise bench must be more interesting. Hmmm

A real swinging time out together!

I see the light!!

Arrgh!! The lantern is bigger than my head!!

Can't I just roll this lantern ball on the grass?
Going home...

Eh...wait for me!!!

Can I Have A Drum Set?

One of the coolest things about going to church is that I can find plenty of huge musical toys that I will not find at home. Of all these big toys, I think my current favourite are those huge drum sets. Must be something about round tongs that makes people just enjoy beating it with long sticks.

Anyway, I sure hope I get to bring my own set of drums home some day. :-)

Christmas Decor Memories

Think I'll sign off the year with some pics of Christmas decor at my church. Everything was just so lovely - the lights, the trees, the bells...ahhhh....

Bye-bye 2008...what a great year it was. :-)

Thy Word....

...is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Hello Bro Anthony!

Had my first up close encounter with 'koko' Anthony in church. Anthony is Uncle Jeff's son who just passed the one-year mark last September. I had just woken up at that time and was shocked as I was surprised to see Anthony's flaping arms coming towards me! What a warm and welcoming brother he is! Hee hee. Either that or he was trying to strangle me....:-p

Anyway, here are some pix of our first contact. Looking forward to future wrestling and strangling together!

Warm welcome from bro Anthony!

Angel in Church

Here is me at my bestest behaviour in church. Hee! They have this glass room chamber thingy where parents will bring their babies, kids and angels (like me…ahem!) during the normal church service. The room is supposed to be sound-proof and all.

Will make sure I test that out one day..heh heh..:-p

Cameo in SSS

Papa took me to my church’s Senior Sunday School last Sunday. What a rowdy bunch these teenagers are. Dunno if I will also turn out that way or not. Gasp!

Anyhoo, here’s me in my army garb posing with some of the teachers. :-D

A Celebration in Church

Yesterday would be another historic marker in my life. It was my first time I set foot in Papa and Mama’s church in KL. Most likely it’s gonna be the church I will grow up with too.

And boy did they really know how to make me feel welcome. Papa and Mama threw a lunch celebration for me and many people turned up to see me live in person. Heh heh. Made me feel like a celebrity for a while then the noise and crowd started to get to me. Crowd was a definitely a new experience for me. So Mama had to whisk me off to the nearby chapel to calm me down.
Overall, I really had a good time in my first adventure in church. With all the happy, smiley faces and good food, I think I’m a liking it here already. ;-)

So, for everyone who made to my celebration yesterday, thank you for all your presence as well as presents. To show my appreciation, here’s me with a genuine happy ‘thank-you’ smile!
