Stretttttttch

A sure-fire way to grow longer! Simply try to reach out for stuff that is far beyond your reach! You will know you are getting there when you find yourself tip-toeing and stretching your fingers to the max!

Works for me! :-D

Lari Setempat

One of my personal favourite exercises is the action of running in the same spot. Besides giving me the satisfaction of creating that ‘preparing to run fast fast’ pose, this action also doubles up as a mini earthquake generator!

Complement this action with a cheeky grin and it is guaranteed to crack people up. :-D

Squat and Stand

Yet another simple exercise regime that is great to build those knee and thigh muscles…I think…coz that’s where I feel some pull when I do it. Hmmm.

I call it the Squat and Stand. Start by finding a nice spot to initiate the starting squatting position. At the count of three, spring up with a wide smile on your face to a standing position. Catch your breath, and proceed to squatting position again. Repeat the steps above till you are out of breath or till you find yourself in a place where you cannot move anymore. See, I have noticed that I tend to move forward a few steps when I perform this exercise.

For those who may be worried of the level of difficulty of this exercise, you may opt for the lighter version, which I like to call Squat and Sit…

Doing the 360

Another repertoire I can add to my exercise video is this nifty move called ‘Doing the 360’. Seated on the floor, one would wave their arms in an up and down motion whilst simultaneously using the bum muscles to pivot around and around and around on the same axis.

Bonus: holding an object like a stick or spoon and making baby sounds whilst performing this exercise seem to make adults laugh.

My First Notes

I’m not very good at reading hints but when Papa and Mama bought me this toy piano, I think they really want me to have some inclination towards music when I grow up. Hmmm.

It is ridiculously colourful with flower-like petal keys and knobs that make the tunes go faster. But seriously, it doesn’t resemble a piano at all!

Anyway, it does help in keeping me entertained though. Besides, those colourful petals are yummy; and Papa teaches me that stomping the keys with my feet can be quite a workout. Hee!

Hand Foot Mouth Exercise

I am really excited about today’s blog entry. This shall be one of my modules for my work-in-progress Exercise for Babies sets and I’m happy to share it with all!

Objectives: Works on flexibility of limbs to ensure blood circulation is working efficiently; also helps you watch your weight (serious!)

Duration: 5 minutes per set; No more than 10 sets per day

Step 1: Lie comfortably on your back on your favourite exercise mattress facing upwards.
Step 2: Lift up left foot whilst extending left hand to hold left foot
Step 3: Hold for about 1 minute
Step 4: When you’re ready, use left hand (that is holding left foot) to bring the left foot to the mouth (see I wasn’t kidding about this exercise helping you to watch your weight)
Step 5: Hold for 1 minute
Step 6: Release and pause/rest for 1 minute
Step 7: Repeat Steps 2 to 6 for right foot

Isn’t this wonderful? Yet, somehow, I have a feeling I might need to rename this exercise set… hmmm

Wallbanger

Here is more proof of Papa's tough football training regime at my very tender age...

My First Steps…

One of the exercise regimes Papa is making me go through everyday is my walking steps. What happens is that Papa will be in a sitting position where he will carry me to ‘stand’ in front of him.

As if by instinct, I will ‘walk’ or rather climb on Papa – one foot at a time, all the way up his belly. Sure is fun but I’m not sure if he will allow me to continue this exercise after I can walk properly on my own…hee!

Cycling

This is yet another form of exercise that has been keeping me fit so far. And another addition of course, to my upcoming baby video exercise. :-p I call it Cycling!

Yup, with my two active legs free to swing whenever I am carried to be fed or bathed or having a clean-up after a poop, I engage into my cycling mode. Hee! Sure is fun for me but maybe the adults are getting more exercise when I do mine! :-D

Neck Flips

Apart from my other set exercise routines of leg lifts, stretches and push-ups, I also do regular neck flips, especially when my face is flat facing the mattress. The neck flips are now more frequent than when I reported earlier.

Previously, I would only slowly flip to the left and right not so many times before I doze off. These days, my neck flips like a book it’s almost as if I was wiping my face dry before I sleep!

Leg Lifts

Due to my lack of mobility, my exercise regime is vastly limited. Hey, at least I still do exercise, OK?! :-P

One of my favourite sets would be my leg lifts. Whenever I’m on my back and it’s not time to sleep yet, I would lift up my legs, let them down and repeat till I’m satisfied.

I’m sure this exercise set really helps my kicking muscles. Hee!
