Riddle of the Day
18.5 Moon Checkpoint
One Eyed Jack
Anyway, it left me a droopy one eyed look for a day. Papa and Mama also took me to see the doc just to be sure it wasn’t anything more serious than an insect bite. Papa mentioned he was quite relieved that the Insecticons weren’t responsible for it.
Flea Flee!

These fleas attacked me on the eve of CNY and cause me great irritation and pain all over the body. There were so many spot marks on my body I couldn’t even recognize myself!
I kept Papa and Mama awake for almost the entire night as they applied all sorts of cream, lotions, sprays, powder, etc. on my body. Felt good and I was able to get some rest thereafter as the bite marks began to subside but I will never forget this painful experience.

Two Docs and a Wedding!
Immediately after that, I went to see my PD who gave me a quick examination and then proceeded to give me my second jab for that pneumar thingy. After what I went thru during my tongue op, suddenly this jab felt like only an ant bite. :-p

By the time we rushed home to get ready to go for jiejie Chayenne’s wedding, it was already getting pretty late. Nevertheless, we still tried to go for the church reception – only in time for the pastry and cake refreshment (which looked really yummy to me…sigh). We did hang around for a while, met up with Ah Mah and Ah Kong, before going to this beautiful place called Saloma Bistro for the wedding dinner.
I was very attracted by the set-up of this restaurant. Even the ceiling fans moved at such a slow speed it seemed to hypnotise people. Or maybe it’s just me. They also had this gigantic cake on stage which I’d bet could feed the entire hall of people, and then some. There was also some wonderful singing performances and some video on screen with weird people dressed up funnily apart from the very nice pictures of the bride and groom.

Overall, I really enjoyed myself, or at least until after the fish dish where it was getting past my bed time already so Mama had to take me outside to the cozy lounge to sleep. It had been a really long day for me after all. The consolation of it is that we managed to stay on till the end, albeit spending much of the dinner time on the lounge, it was probably my first wedding dinner that Mama and Papa managed to eat the dessert. :-D They must be so proud of me...hee!

check out the very cool wedding gift - my very own BMW!!! Wee! wonder if it stands for Big Macho Wheels?...hmmm
Laid Low and Stitched
Upon registration, I was dressed up in an adult operatee apparel (see! I knew people my age seldom go for ops!) and wheeled in this ultra cool four sides of steel cage to the operation floor.
The nurses were quite shocked to see such a happy smiley face going into an operation. Papa and Mama told me to be strong that day, so I cannot fail them. Hee! My ENTertainment doc was surprisingly not there yet. Sometime after 8.30am, he finally came to start the procedure by giving me some kinds of gas that made me pass out. When I came to, the operation was already over! Didn’t feel any pain at all at that time (thanks Mr Gas) but it only kicked in sometime later that night.
Check out those spidey web-shooters on my left wrist....hee!
The operation was pretty fast too – no more than 30 minutes, including the waiting time. By 9.15am thereabouts, I was already reunited with Papa and Mama again, who carried me back to my ward where I rested for the next few hours for observation. My mouth area did feel some numbness though…
my ward number...2253...specially for any readers who feel lucky....hee hee...
Anyhow, I had a four-bedded ward all to myself! It was a pretty cool ward with FOUR teevees hanging from the ceiling! Now if I could convince Papa to hang a few more likewise back home…My doc came to check on me slightly after noon and said should be OK for me to go home. He did warn that drinking Mama’s goodness may be a challenge for the next few days. Also, my stitches should come off by itself or disappear together with my acidic saliva (hee!) within the next few days.
By 3.30pm, we left for home, with memories of this scary adventure of my first (and hopefully last!) ever operation. I overheard that the total cost involved is even higher than the cost incurred to deliver me from the same hospital!
Back to my playful self!
Guess it isn’t easy to raise me up huh? Thank you Papa and Mama for bringing me through this. Hopefully now with my tongue released, I can look forward to becoming more of a chatterbox in the future…
Ahhh....it's finally over! :-D
Tongue-Tied No More!

Won't You Say A Prayer For Me?
This coming Saturday (25 Oct 2008), Papa and Mama is taking me to the hospital for a minor operation to 'release my tongue'. Heck, I have not even collected 12 moons yet and now have to go for an operation...sigh.
I have never been so afraid before. Even Papa and Mama's anxious looks have me more restless. They even took extra leave from work to help me in the recovery period. :-D
So, I would truly appreciate all the prayers for me yah...:-)

Back Where I All Started
You see, Ah Por suspected that I may be tongue-tied - some occurence that may have risk of the child not being able to pronounce words properly when they're older. She said the 'W' shape of my tongue is an indication. Papa and Mama got another confirmation during my last visit to my doc, who in turn referred an ENT specialist to check.
So there I was, back in the Hospital where I was born. In the end, the ENT Doc confirmed that I was in fact tongue tied, and advised for a minor surgery to be performed to 'release' it. Doc also said besides the W indicator, most tongue-tied babies also tend to have more saliva because of iniability to control some gland thingy....ahhh...that might explain why it seemed that I was already starting to teeth at 2 months!
I counted that the doc only ENTertained us for no more than 10 minutes, and the bill came up to about RM125! Must be good becoming an ENTertainment doctor I guess. *jots down in career of choice notebook*
Stay tuned for updates as Papa and Mama needs to plan when best to bring me in for the tongue releasing session.
Will I be more talkative then?
Will I be able to taste more things then?
I can't wait to find out too!
Yes Sir Yes Sir, Two Bags Full...

Rash Rash Baby
Anyway, I went for my fourth moon checkup with my doc last weekend. So Papa and Mama took the opportunity to showcase my rashes to the doc. Doc said the rashes underneath my neck are quite commonly caused by sweat so I guess I’ll be seeing more white powder there. Doc also advised for some baby lotion to applied to my skin. Hopefully, I can rid myself of these rashes soon. They sure don’t look nice on babies. :-(
Fourth Moon report card:
Length: 64.0 cm (increase of about 3 cm. Hmm..maybe those worm moves does help me grow longer…)
Weight: 6.2 kg (includes one nightful of pee…hee!)
Head: 40.5 cm (still average. Heyyy...why isn’t anyone watching documentaries?!)
Weight Deceiver
Length: 61cm
Weight: 5.71kg
Head: 39cm
I was glad the doc said both my length and weight is normal and average. However, the size of me head seems to be averagely smaller relative to my growth in length and weight. Doc also added nothing to be worried about as it is still in normal range so no need for me to quickly immerse myself in Discovery Channels or apply for a library card in order to increase my brain size. :-p
Doc did give me some many-in-one vaccination jab (sigh…hello needles again) though…as well as some sweet-tasting vaccination liquid which was stuffed into my mouth. Gosh, is the world so full of baby viruses?!!
Whilst waiting for the bill, I decided to poop. Yup, another explosion alright. :-P Good thing they have a changing area in the clinic. After Mama cleaned me up, she decided to do a simple experiment by putting me on the weighing scale again. The reading: 5.56kg
That’s about 15g of marginal poop error. Hee!
Tip of the day, especially to all weight watchers: Go poop before weighing yourself – it does wonders! :-D
Nosey Stuffings
Good news is that doc says it looks quite minor and should clear up within next few days. He also gave some liquid stuff which is to be dropped into my nose whenever I feel uncomfortable ( which has proven to be an obstacle challenge for Papa and Mama so far…hee hee..) and some other liquid stuff for me to drink. Doesn’t taste as good as Mama’s goodness but it sure is pretty sweet! Hope it doesn’t raise my sugar level at my young age!
During my clinic weigh in, I clocked in at 5.46kg, about a week before I collect my third moon. I could have sworn it was 5.47kg before I sneezed. Hmmm.
If nosey stuffings is this bad, I shudder to think what turkey stuffings or Christmas stocking stuffings are like. :-D
Second Moon Growth Update
Anyway, these are my physical updates for those who have been keeping track…
Weight: 5.2kg (I broke the 5K barrier…weee!)
Head: 38.5cm (brain is also growing…..wee!)
Height: 59.5cm (at least I measure longer than my head….hee!)
Good thing they don’t have anything that can measure my naughtiness….heh heh…:-p
