Nursing Pillow

I discovered any of Mama’s many talents when she sewed this beautiful nursing pillow, which would be used when my baby sister comes along. Won’t really fit me now, but I think it still makes a really good feeding pillow or sleeping erm, pillow! Hehe!

Just take it as me quality-testing it for baby. :-p

Still the Drooler…

I had no idea I can and am still producing bucketfuls of drool! I mean, I noticed my bib changes had begun to decrease so I thought my drool supply was diminishing. Until I saw this photo of me taken when I was sleeping…complete with a napkin or towel strategically placed to soak up my drool and protect the mattress. Sigh.

Sleepy Face Friday!

King-sized Cot!

My sleeping adventures just got more exciting. Some nights, Papa and Mama would allow me to sleep on their bed with them. It happens more often when I make more noise when put in my cot. *wink!*

Recently, they moved the single bed next to theirs so now I have my very own king-sized cot! Wee! Imagine the fun of trampling around on a bed! Something I couldn’t do in my cot.

Anyway, I always feel more freedom when I sleep on the bed. No boundaries that makes me feel like being caged up. Nicer and softer mattress to jump and roll around. Now if only they would change it to a water bed…

Family Foto Friday!

Papa and me....synchronised dreaming...

Sleeper Poser

For those of you who do not yet know, allow me to asssure that sleeping is definitely a form of art. Here are some of my favourite poses that confirms this fact:

"In Surrender"

"The Skydiver"

"The Running Man"

Night Angel

Sometimes when I sleep, there will be a night light that will be switched on. Not sure why Papa and Mama does this, coz it usually becomes dark when I close my eyes anyway…

I like this particular night light that has the shape of an angel on it. Somehow, it does feel more assuring knowing that an angel is watching over me whilst I sleep. :-D

Feeding and Falling Asleep…

A new talent I have recently discovered is my ability to induce sleep whenever I feel like it. This ability can be quite useful in perilous times, like eating bland porridges. Shhhhh….

During one of those feeding times, when crying, grunting and squirming didn’t work, I immediately turned to my sleeping ability and fell asleep just as a spponful of porridge went into my mouth.

I’m pretty sure this ability will also come in handy in my schooling days ahead. Hee!

Soothe Scratchings

There is just something wonderful about the feeling of being scratched on the top of my head that I simply cannot explain.

When those fingers run through my hair in a smooth motion, rubbing and scratching my head, it just invokes one of those “aaahhh….” Feelings that doesn’t need many words to describe.

I will just easily close my eyes, drift off the world, and enjoy this sensation with pleasure, complete with a satisfied grin on my face. “ahhhhh”.

Won’t you try it today too? :-P

Pose of the Day!

Peace like a Child Sleeping

Somehow, adults like to watch babies when we are sleeping. Not sure if I want to call it freakish or psychotic or lovely, but when I think about it, I guess it’s just the way we sleep eh? There’s just something about the way we sleep that cannot be explained. :-)

Sorta reminds me of a song chorus that goes:

“Where there is faith, there is a voice calling, keep walking You're not alone in this world
Where there is faith, there is a peace like a child sleeping, hope everlasting in Him who is able to bear every burden, to heal every hurt in my heart…
It is a wonderful, powerful place
Where there is faith..”

Ahhhh….lovely lyrics...:-)

Thy Word....

...is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

My Favourite Bolster

Whenever I have difficulties sleeping at night, I would reach out to see if there is anything that I can grip, erm, hug or snuggle with. Most of the time I would find my favourite bolster to my right, which would immediately help me calm down to sleep.

I wonder if any adults also have a favourite bolster too?

Makeshift Cot

Now with my crawling speed picking up and my tendency to try to hoist myself up stand, it has become almost imperative that all mattresses, cots, beds, etc. that I ‘m put in must be immediately barricaded like I’m some sort of wild animal.

Here is an example of our guest room bed being barricaded into a makeshift cot for my Sunday afternoon nap.

What next? Six sides of steel?!!!

Moving Forward and Backwards

Have discovered another strange phenomenon in my sleeping habits. Before I drift off to sleep, I will usually worm my way forward, for a short distance. Once in baby dreamland, on occasions, I can also worm my way, but in reverse gear.

Still can’t explain it for now. Yet another case to be kept in my X-Files…

Drowsy Influence

I think I may have developed alcohol-like powers too. Whenever someone tries to pat me to sleep on a bed or mattresses, it isn’t long before they too fall under my sleepy spell…muahahahaha….

Sigh…guess this is another power which requires my great responsibility..:-P

Moving House!

Another major development for me. My crib has been moved! And without my permission too. Kinda sad as I was just starting to like my bachelor room filled with diapers, powder, shampoos and toys.

But I think in the long run, the move was definitely for the better. With my crib now in Papa and Mama’s room, I feel safer as I am closer to them every night. Ahhh…makes me sleep better too.:-D

What Babies Dream...

Have you ever wondered that since babies sleep so much, they must also dream as much too, right? And if babies dream as much, what can they be possibly dreaming of?

As I drift off to sleep, I may flash a small satisfied smile or grin. It always makes Papa puzzled as to what kind of happy dream I may be having.

It could be any of the following:

1. Swimming in Mama’s goodness….mmmmmm
2. Playing Poopinator video game
3. Having a jacuzzi partee!

Of course, the truth is, I cannot really reveal because it is, and forever shall be a trade secret of our ‘baby’s guild’. Let’s just say it is one of those things we like to leave it to the adults to guess and look bewildered. Hee!

Hypno Machine

Found this strange device attached to my crib the other night. Looked funny and freaky at first – well, what would you call heads of a horse, fish, and other animals hanging from a string? Anyway, this supposedly hypnotic machine will emit some soothing lullaby whilst spinning the animal heads round and round and round.

Personally, I don’t think the machine worked on me. Nope. It did confuse me a bit at first though but eventually I found it quite annoying. I guess hypnosis for babies isn’t quite advanced yet, eh?

Me, Zombie...

There is actually a freakish way to tell that I’m feeling sleepy during any feeding session of Mama’s goodness. Midway thru the feed, my eyeballs will start to roll up, my eyelids start to come down like curtains, leaving just a small slit to see most of my whites.

Yup, whenever I start turning into a zombie, it’s usually time for me to say goodnight. :-D. Papa and Mama both seem very happy whenever I start to turn into a zombie. I wonder why…
